keeping track of my day to day.

9/27/2006

pregnant days.

Just had a great visits with the Hillmans. Good eats and good company. David and Kathy are excited about the midget on the way. Linda and I are-ill prepared to deal with the onslaught of generosity from them and all of our friends. Our nursery is getting filled and we have just started to think about painting it. freak out. but waiting for the kid is delicious. I wake up in the middle of the night laughing because I get kicked. best thing ever. The biology of papahood is kicking in. That little guy in there is my son.

Work is great. I have been doing this Business analyst gig in the travel industry for 3 month now and I dig it. Good people and I am getting a grip on my projects. It is a small reframing of positions from the work I did at Escapia, but essentially I am tracking and moving various web projects forward. Linda is still working and will continue to for a little while... we are still formulating a plan for that. My job is just a short distance from our house. So when Linda takes some time off to have the kid, I will be able run home during lunch to give her a short break. Nice.

I am missing an upcoming reunion for TAS graduates. I spent my junior and senior years of high school at the Taipei American School. I learned the sport of drunken manuevering in cabs. Taiwan capped off an international childhood and I look dreamily back at my time there. I wish I could go see my friends. It also makes me wonder where and how I am going to raise the little guy. Sitting still isn't really in my nature and I want to impart a sense of the world to any being I have some modicum of control over their upbringing. We got time to think about it... yeah. right. 56 days till he's due.

rock on.
