Rudy and I are off to florida tomorrow for a visit with my in-laws. Linda will be following along in the middle of the week. I am looking forward to having a little furry friend to travel with. Rudy is the master of the art of snuggy. She burrows into all available laps and is in supreme bliss when her belly is rubbed.

now i just wish that Lulu was of travel size...

rainy seattle.

we have been blessed with rain for the last 48 hrs. It made last nights race an excellent, wet ride. Worked the foredeck and loved the Sound spray mixing with sweat while setting the chute. By the penultimate leg I was down to a tshirt. Sailing is better in the rain.

Rudy

So Rudy has joined us to see how she works with the rest of the Peters Posse. Lulu is a little jealous, Duck is growling and Burt is supremely interested and going for butt sniffs when Rudy isn't looking. Rudy is oblivious. She is a great snuggler and stays at my heels at all times.

picking up nate in olympia tonight. We are also introducing Linda to Rudy, the 12 year old shih tzu, for her consideration as a bunkmate for the Peters family.

Things are going well. I have been out in the garden several hours a day. Planting bamboo, cleaning out plant beds for reuse and watching Burt survey his domain from the "big cat" cage that we set up in the yard. Repotted datura yesterday, moved some cucumbers around, and am starting to dig a pond.

unemployment is rough.
