Hi all,
I have been avoiding updating for a while. obviously. The shit going down has been turning me inward rather than out.

Been getting regular updates from my sister Maria, who lives in Beirut. She has actually flown to Cairo with a friend from the American School to get a bit further from possible attacks in lebanon. She feels that it will be easier to get to the states from there if need be. I am anxiously waiting to hear what happen next and wish that she would come home, while understanding exactly why she is staying. How many coup d'etats did we live through in Africa? Sit paitently with you head low and wait for the winds of violence to blow over, then return to business as usual. How do you think they have managed in Isreal all these years?

Sad funeral on tuesday for the child of a friend who is so close that they are cousins really. Drove over to spokane with mom and linda. It was good to be able to share tears with loved ones. Seeing the grieving for a single child made me despair at what is going on in Iraq. How many families will never forget March 20th?

the world needs big love. the world needs a population of Rachel Corries. The world needs more soft hearted freaks that care more for victims than for themselves. I only wish i was so brave.
