You've always thought of your life as original, but it turns out to be identical to that of the daughter of a young couple from Leinster, Ireland, in the mid-1700s.

oh and don't ride the train.
word up. chilling at the pad. not going out as intended and thats fine thats ok i got some hanging to do. work is flowing a little easier these days. catching on to how things are done, which is nice. sounds like the caught the sniper fellow. and with links to tacoma no less. it does not ease my mind and worry about whats next. i read a very intelligent article on salon.com today. feels like the shit is hitting the fan these days. finally catching up with us and our americanistic ways. union des singe approvoisé. usa. united tamed monkeys. at least that is what they used to say at the belgian school in rwanda. no suitable links right now. i looked.

haven't been sailing in ages which is driving me nuts. arghhh. slipping into not cycling pretty easy too. it is cold and dark in the morning and the bike is not the most attractive prospect. tomorrow i will muster.

some pictures from maria at her friend scott's site.. the picture of the tanks coming out of the wall of an appartment building is in the words of maria...

"HEy Nicko,
On my way to a friend's for dinner, but the pictures
of the tanks in the cement is the Monument to Peace
here in Lebanon. It was built after the war. I
thought it was a pretty impressive monument. I love
you. M"

think about the monuments that we may have to build in this country soon. hrumph. hoping for a good leader or a miracle.

Linda here. A much belated "Happy Engagement!" to our good friends Amy and David. Come visit soon.
oh my.
already the 20th of oct. time flying. Dad's Bday. Visit with Matt, Cathy and Caity. sheesh.
went to a cornmaze yesterday with linda and ma. i didn't enjoy the maze... i am not a fan of puzzles for puzzles sake. so i went and held puppies, rabbits, scratched a pigs belly, talked to a goat or two and watched kids bounce off eachother in their excitement to find the perfect pumpkin. took some pictures. Linda and I had an awesome dinner with friend melanie and pete on friday night. 1:10 am saw us straggling home after a long sit around the fire on the back porch. we do couple things.

nice mail from maria. she is going to cairo for a swim meet. nice gig teaching at international schools. hmmm. also heard from bill tung who just got his MBA from thunderbird. woo hoo. spent today exchanging desks with brady... new one set up but not in place. big mess to move.

if you have the courage to eat a crab
you must have the courage to let him pinch you.
if you don't have the courage to let him pinch you,
then you must had over your crab meat to me!
