hey there,
heading up to mt hood tomorrow with brady and rob. looking forward to it. waiting for the boys to show right now in fact.

had an interesting meeting with the folks at learning.com for a sales position. do i want to do sales? not sure... it would utilize my apex experience and may be the kind of jobby job i need right now. waiting for 2nd interview that i hope is coming. Also really need to get a better sense of the product and company. the whole thing makes me furrow my brow a lot. haven't had that for a while.

had a pet cane toad for a couple days, but took it back to the store. wasn't ready for that level of commitment with an amphibian. specially when what i really want is a hound.

stoopid stoopid unemployment meeting yesterday. bad presenter. I read my novel under my desk. no new info. least common denominator crowd. wheeeeee.
I am delaying my drive back to ptown till later this afternoon. Sarah is flying in from Michigan and I am going to pick her up from the airport and take her to the Gs house for lunch... then head back down.

i think i am getting a cold. sore throat thing starting.

at least i slept last night. till 4 this morning. thats enough for me.

up in seattle for the night at my moms. gotta go to a unemployment thing today... then back to ptown.
i didn't sleep a wink last night. not sure why. read an orson scott card novel. the whole thing. sent some time researching learning.com and reading about afganistan. mmmm. tired. had a nice morning with ma before she went to work. i have a bunch of errands to run today... post office, car repairs and the like. i am a bit afraid that i am gonna crash hard.

unemployment is hard.

actually going to get a christmas tree today. it will be my first one as an big kid. Linda and I are buying action figures and such from thrift stores to decorate. it is gonna kick some assssssss.

dropped about 30 crickets in with the spiders. battle royale. my really big spider (giant house spider?) demolishes them... i am waiting to see how the lesser arachnids do. i love having this little microworld going. it amuses me to no end. and the crickets are starting to sing, which adds a nice soundtrack to my living room.

currently:
listening to some salsa tunes, catching up on mail and whats going on in the world. Portland is great, i am running out of money and must find a job, linda and I are evolving our own language of unemployment, exploring portland, buying lamps and spending time together. I am reading alot... trashy fantasy pulp mmmmm... that and cooking. got a antique cast iron dutch oven which is rocking my creative cooking parts. marinaded porkloin with red patooties. roasted chicken with parsnips and carrots. mmmm... i am eating a lot.

so basically i am being fat and lazy and in love. not so bad.

i have to go work on my resume. big kisses. i will post pictures of my apt later today. n.
